Axim X3i SD memory trouble poll

How many of you with Dell Axim X3i's have sd memory card troubles? I am not referring to the few X3's that have problems with any and all cards.

Thanks!

PS - Honestly.. I can spell memory.

I'm using a 64M SanDisk SD Card, and haven't had any problems.

I had significant problems with my first x3i. After Dell replaced it, I have tried several cards and they all work fine. I have use PNY, FujiFile, SanDisk and all read just fine.

From the few replies I've seen I am starting to think that the X3i does not suffer from the same problems the X5 did.

Please, keep the comments coming!

Darth Sparky,

Your right, although others may disagree, I have not seen any SD Card problems on my X3i like people have on the X5.

SD Card

I have a Scandisk 256 that randomly crashed in my AX5. Replaced with a Kingston 128. No problems.

After someone took a 5 finger discount with my AX5, I replaced with an AX3XI. Tried the Scandisk 256 in new machine - has not failed once in the last 90 days. Maybe I have just been lucky so far but the Scandisk in the AX5 failed every other day!

to aviationwiz: I don't consider 3,000 dead Americans on 9/11 a laughing matter! Don't know if you were around in the late 60's and early 70's but the now Senator Kerry demeaned our troops then and hasn't stopped since! Maybe it will take a dirty bomb in Minneapolis to get your attention.

What brand are you using and where was it made?

Thanks,

Sorry to hear about your loss. Sad that someone would do that to you.

This is good news! With the difference in price between SD cards like Lexar etc and SanDisk etc I am really hoping to hear more stories like yours Have you ever tried the Happy Cheesecake test?

What sort of failures did you have?

From the replies so far it seems that as long as your SD slot works on an X3 that most or all SD cards will work!
