3Xi keeps turning itself on

I just got my new 3Xi last week and it's great. I do have one problem, it keeps turning itself on at random times. Can software cause it to do that or is there a setting I need to check?

Are you sure nothing is pressing the buttons, which can turn on the device depending on what setting you have it set to? Or do you have an reoccuring task that may be triggering?

Actually, it may be the Sprite Backup software. The problem began about the same time I installed it.

Yes the Sprite Backup does have the abililty to turn on the PPC (reoccuring task). It may be causing the issue... but it shouldn't be "random". The best way to test is to uninstall it and see if it still happens.
