Apart from the unpredictable WiFi Connectivity issues, I noticed that some words on the screen looked 'redish'. Closer examination revealed that all vertical lines in all the letters have a red shadow. So when you have a word like 'will', the i, and the 2 'l' are blurred because they look like that have a red background. Selected text is even worse.
Increasing the font size (which you cannot do in all apps) helps but I don't this is an appropriate solution.
Has anyone experienced this? I'm thinking about calling Dell for an exchange.
i also noticed this. if you turn on "clear type" text it seems to go away. it isn't noticable with certain angles. i can't decide if it's a big deal or not. seemed to notice it right away, but now it doesn't even phase me.
more noticible between two "l's" or an "l" and an "i"with certain font sizes.
From what i understand..
The red'ish text is not a glitch, its called "Clear Type" and its a feature of WM, (To make reading easier on the eyes apparently... but you can disable it.

I don't get any "reddish lines" when I use Cleartype...
Try taking a screenshot. If the problem occurs in the screenshot as well, it's either a OS or graphics pipeline problem, or it's supposed to be that way. If it doesn't occur in the screenshot, then your screen's a mess.
dotPocket is what I use to take screenshots... but that's because I use its other features. There are other programs out there.
I took some screenshots and the shadow is there although less noticeable since it is kinda light green.
I will post the screenshots later because I need to reduce their sizes.
logically this means that it is not a hardware problem in which case how come you don't get the problem on yours (unless you're always looking vertically at your screen).
Here's another thing, this does not happen in MS Reader even with clearType on. I think this is because Reader uses a different typeface. So the Tahoma font used id dialog boxes and in Explorer makes the words look funny.
