windows media player

i have a major problem. i love to listen to my wma's but recently, i tried opening windows media player through all the possible ways, programs, file explorer, settings, but each time i try to run it, the top of the screen says windows media player like it normaly would if i was opening it, but instead, it goes back to whatever i was in trying to open it. i tried contacting dell about it but all they could recommend was a hard reset. does anyone know any other way i could fix this problem without installing a new media player or doing a hard reset?

Soft-Reset? Or try closing all your programs down.

If these soft reset aren't working, try re-installing the music to your PPC, the music that you are trying to listen to on your handheld may have copyrights which prohibit you from listening to your music on anyother device other than your desktop. If you can live w/ yourself, I would suggest to delete your inventory of music and try re-downloading to your handheld. Possibly look into taking off the copyright liscense on your desktop, and that should keep you from running into this problem in the future.
I had the same problem w/ my music that I would copy from my cds onto my computer and import them onto my handheld. I had that problem and I deleted my music from my handheld and removed the copyright liscenses on my desktop when I re-copied the music from my cds onto my desktop.
