Exclamation screwed up display.... help!!

I have a x3i and have only had it since about March and sunday my husband noticed that it was in the cradle, but looked funny. Turns out that the display is all screwed up. It's just a bunch of mutli color vertical lines. Tried a hard reset to no avail. Not sure what happened to it, except that we lost power due to Hurricane Frances on Sunday afternoon. Would that have hit the axim?? void the warrenty though huh?? I'm quite upset since I love my axim and have become unseperable.

Any advice is appreciated!! Thanks!!

Well it looks like you're going to have to call Dell on this one. Aside from that I dont think there is anything you can do (other than have PPC Techs fix the screen or something for $150 I believe).

Can you access it from your PC? If so, at least you call pull off anything important.

You could also try a hard reset... it might must be a matter of scrambled display logic.

Try your home owner's insurance.
They cover lightning or power surge damage.

Well.... I've tried resetting it to no avail.... sooooo off to call Dell support (ha!) Even as I type this I've been on hold for 2 hrs.... this is after holding for 1.5 hours this afternoon. I tried online chat, but they said that my problem needed to be addressed on the phone and to call support!!

*sigh* Thanks for all your advice!! I will look at my homeowners policy if it is damage from the storm!!
