X3i was actually becoming useful, I had loaded a lot of programs and synced my schedule, etc - no problem connecting w/ wifi at home or at work. Then, one day, after trying to sync to my home computer the cradle wasn't detected by any machine any more ... I have tried connecting the cradle to the original machine, my home machine (both PCs) and my iBook and it is never detected. Tried using the little travel connector instead of the cradle - same thing. Cradle and little travel connector thingy both manage to provide power to the handheld but there is no connection for syncing. Tried searching for USB connection - on ALL machines - still can't find it. During the whole process, followed instructions and performed a hard reset so now I have a mindless X3i ... like a newborn - totally useless.
What's up? What's broken and can it be fixed?

This will be just a suggestion but it happened to me a few days ago. Cradle the axim and open/run repllog.exe from windows directory. That could get you cradled up(synched) to load a software for adding up the same file to the notification queue which somehow got deleted.

Good news my friend, our great friends @ DinarSoft have introduced an "Add Notification" feature in a recent revision of MemMaid. You should be able to add the notification that you removed in order to get it working again. Thanks DinarSoft!!!

Once you have MemMaid installed, go to the Notification Queue module, and then tap the "Add..." button. for the program name, enter repllog.exe, and choose "An RSS232 connection was made" in the event drop down menu. Tap the Add button to create the event. Soft reset your Axim, then cradle it, and you should be back in business
