My X3i works beautifully except that everytime i want to use the wifi, i have to do a soft reset.

then i can get connected to my router, suff, email ,etc. as soon as i turn off the axim and then turn it back on, the axim wont connect to my router and it doesnt even show up in the site survey...soft reset and all is well.

any ideas?

Make sure you don't have "Connects to Proxy" checked. Uncheck it if you do.

Also, what version of ROM are you running? A02 has fixed some issues with WiFi, so if you don't already have it you should definitely update your ROM. Just so you know.

I am using Rom A02 (the newest?) from Dells site and i have also ran the other two listed updates.

Also try disabling your WiFi PowerSave Mode . . .

Related to this topic... I am hooked to the internet at home via bellsouth.net DSL. I am in good shape with my wireless pc hookups. However, after 2-3 minutes internet use with Axim 3i, the wireless says "can't find the website"... yet Odyssey is recognizing a signal and get graphic in the lower-right recognizes a hookup. Does anyone have any ideas about why I crap-out after 2-3 minutes? PS: This has existed since the beginning... I bought my Axim 3i a month ago.

I will look into the ROM. Is the update easy to find in the dell site? (if it is, don't worry about responding... only if it isn't, -- that would be helpful)
