X3 cannot working after a wrong ROM update....
Help me please!

My X3 cannot working after a ROM update.
It was from SD with the X3's bootloader and the upgrade gone complete.

After the update I can't switch on.
I tried to run the bootloader (Contacts + wheel + reset), and the alternate (Contacts + wheel + reset + suspend, 20 seconds...etc), but it's still not working. The LCD remains dark.
Is this absolute dead?

What can I try more?
How can upload bootloader and ROM image over USB without bootloader?

Any idea?

The bootloader is your best bet. The rom for your ppc is in the root of the sd right? Just hope you can get it to try to load again.

Yes,it's on the root of the SD, but I still cannot activate bootloader.
I think the uploaded ROM damaged.

Any other way to upload a correct ROM?

The same did happen to my Axim.
So far, I'm not able to re-load the rom using the bootload method.
If someone has any other method, please let us know.

Why would you want to do that? Do you need a neat looking paperweight?

ok I don't think you under stood ikehiker's post. He was implying that you can only install roms made for that speciafic PPC. For example you can't install an x30 rom on an x3i. You can only install the x30 rom to the x30, x3i rom to the x3i... ect.
If you don't install the correct rom on the corresponding device, it will just become a "neat looking paperweight"

That do not explain how to get back to first original ROM!
After an update ROM, my Axim was freezing a lot. So i flashed the ROM with the last Update Utility. Now, it do freez after 5 minutes of normal using. I try and try hard reset, but it launch one time out of 10.
How to get back to first original ROM???
