Problems with Dell keyboard and bent pins
I have an X3 I bought a month ago. And I just bought the dell keyboard for the axim. I love this handheld, don't get me wrong.

But several of the pins were bent by the keyboard. I have straightened them out with a pair of fine pliers.

The problem: Normally, I would be on the phone with dell screaming about the fact that my two dell products, designed to work together had damaged each other. However I bought the handheld refurbished from Computer Geeks, and the keyboard on ebay.

I can live with the keyboard not working. But if the handheld refuses to talk to the computer, I've just paid $200 for a device to read one book.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is the keyboard just dangerous? Will it do me any good to call Dell?

doubt you will have any luck with Dell since you did not purchase the products from them. with the x3 you could have transferred any remaining warranty coverage. though i don't think that is an option with the keyboard. you can always give them a call and see what it would cost to repair or see if they have any suggestions.
