I am giving up on Dell Technical Support and the Axim. Period.
My first Axim x3i had the notorious bent pin issue.
The first refurb they sent me likes to shut down (hard reset) randomly and without warning.
The second refurb died two hours out of the box.
A "manager" told me he would call me after I had charged the thing for at least three hours. No call.
Called them today. They can't send anything out because they haven't yet received the first refurb.
Tried to explain to them that the first refurb is the only one that kind of works and that I need something to use. Ah, well, says the "manager" -- I will send a repleacement as soon as you send back #1.
I say: "I will send back the one you just sent me. I will not buy another Axim and I have had it with Dell."
I am seething mad right now, tired of speaking to people who read from scripts and fed up with the run around. I need to be able to depend on this device. Dang it!
So bugger off, Dell. I have had it.
