wirelss connection problems
i have the x30 hi (BT/WiFi/624MHz) and i have a linksys router (WRT54G) when i first got it i couldnt get the router work with my Dimmension 2400 (wouldnt get online wirelessly, now works fine) but lately i've been having a lot of problems with the wireless. last week everything was working fine, my X30 saw the shared files on my 2400 and could browse the internet fine, in fact thats what i usually did when i couldnt sleep at night...anyways, now the wireless wont work right. i can sign into msn and my emails get dl'd through the wireless connection when i'm at home but i cant browse the files on my computer anymore and i get that stupid "Page not found" error anytime i try and go to a website. i've tried a hard reset, getting rid of the connection settings, different keys for the WEP and even disabling the security and nothing. all i can do is sign into msn and use the email program, it shows that its connected to my router and has an excellent signal strength (the thing's in my room with my xbox). when i run activesync wirelessly it says connecting the entire time but never does. when i try to use the file explorer to browse my computer, i click on any of the folders and nothing happens, the window that lits the folders previously accessed just closes like i hit cancel. whats most annoying is that using the network troubleshooter on the X30 it see's my 2400 and my router so i should at least be able to see the files on my computer. i checked my Norton IS 2005 settings and the IP's for my network are listed as part of the trusted network...like i said, i havent had any problems with it until last week. any help would be greatly appreciated. included is a picture of my sys info

One quick suggestion. Go to: Start>Settings>connections>connections>Network adapter. Then tap on the correct network card you use and set-up instead of DHCP server, use static IP. Type in anything, like 168.212.81.10

well i didnt have to do that cuz i had to have the unit replaced so i can get online just fine but now whenever i try to connect to my pc wirelessly i get this message sayin to create a vpn connection. i tried using my router's IP address and it wouldnt work. i tried using my pc's network name and my login info and it wouldnt connect and finally i tried my router's SSID and it still wouldnt work. i keep getting an error message sayin there's a VPN server error and i need to verify my username and password. any idea on how to do it?

Go to Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Advanced (tab), Select Networks and change the dropdown lists to "My Work Network."
