I cant access wireless internet
I have a DELL "AXIM X3"

I just bought a wireless card, from the DELL website
"SOCKET COMMUNICATIONS Low Power SDIO Wireless LAN Card"

I tried to connect to the Starbucks hot spot, and the WI-FI net @ work.

I get an IP address, subnet mask, and a gateway; but I cant surf the web.

Im not to familiar with the settings, however I still spent hours messing around with them and changing things hoping that I could connect.

Could someone tell me what my settings are suppose to be like, or what I could do.

Have you gone to start-settings-connections-network cards and see if it said connected or just available?

Make sure the WIFI connections are open connections and not encrypted, meaning you have to have a password to get on.(WEP) At work i would talk to your network administrator. MAC filtering might be something else your work does. I am not familiar with starbucks but i dont think its free. JDH

Kind of
A problem that I have is that I can no longer see the access points that I am connected to. Usually it would say the net name and connected/available. That no longer comes up for me when I look at my net settings.
