Are you sure the device has bluetooth? If you bought it second hand it could be the USA X3i which did not include bluetooth hardware (even though there is a bluetooth logo on it)

Or - if it genuinely is the BT Version, find the country of origin and go to that website. The http://www.dell.co.uk site would have teh X3i ROM with the BT code.

Did you buy it from Ebay? Ask the seller or check their country of origin.

It could be the Canadian one too.

There is a thread on here somewhere about how to flash with a ROM from another language. So you would take an English ROM (from dell.co.uk) and then follow the steps to have your French Axim accept it.

Just be aware that you'd be doing it entirely at your own risk obviously. It's a recent thread. Maybe search on "ROM" and "language".

Just go to dell.co.uk...go the support pages, enter your service tag and go the rom updates...

EDIT: Howard's always quicker than me, dammit

If the X3i with BT is working fine, why in God's name do you NEED to flash the ROM?!? If you're not having any problems with it, it's better to leave well enough alone since you're having so many problems locating the proper ROM and have no idea where the Axim originated from.

Where, exactly, did you purchase this "second hand" Axim? eBay? Off a street corner? It wouldn't happen to be "hot" would it?
