Backup battery dead?
I have had an Axim 3i for 13 months. Suddenly my normal battery charges but loses all the charge overnight even when the Axim hasn't been used. I presume the battery is dead and needs replacing. However, why didn't the backup battery retain all the data? All my data has been lost. Is the backup battery dead as well?

I have a backup of my data, but to make matters worse suddenly I can no longer activesync on the cradle: my device is not detected and I think the pins are a little bent, although I can still charge. I am going to try to activesync by IR or Wifi (have never tried this and foresee configuration problems), but if I do manage to restore the data, is it worth my buying a new battery or is the whole thing kaput?
TIA for any suggestions/help

Your backup battery will retain your data for 30 minutes when your computer is shutdown. If you left it over night as you said, I don't think the data will survive will survive.

It is always a good idea to check out the documentation before using the system.
