Is My Battery Dying?
My battery has recently started running out of juice a lot faster than usual and it seems like it charges much faster than normal also. Do you think my battery is dying and I need a new one? I thought I read that the type of batteries the X3 takes die after so many uses and charges.

Lithium batteries last about 2-3 years from the time they get out of production. If you have you PPC for longer than this, I would recommand to buy another one. You can always try to drain it completely and see if it restore/adjust the gauge.

I would run that baby out all the way...let it die. (Just keep an eye on your Axim as it approaches the end, so that your backup doesn't wear out).

Then charge that battery again for 8 hours.

See if that shocks it back into submission. It can't hurt.

I've had my Axim with that battery for about 2 years so I guess it's time for a replacement. I did try draining it and then recharging it again for a long time with no success. So, I guess I'll have to shell out some money for a new battery.
