Removing icons after they have been uninstalled
I just purchased a x3 and have been fooling around by installing things and then if I didn't care for it, I would remove it. After I removed them I still have the icons in my programs folder. Can anybody tell me how to remove them?
Thnx in advance

It's easy. Open file explorer and go to the Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder hold down your stylus on the dead link and choose remove from the popup box. Did you use the Remove Programs applet in Settings > System to uninstall the programs? That usually gets rid of icons when used.

Were you able to delete them all with Don't Panic! instructions?

I removed the programs through active sync. There are no more files for the programs on ppc. The original icons were removed, but for some reason when they were installed, 2 seperate icons appeared. When I uninstalled the programs the original icons disappeared but the (2) icons are still there with the generic MS box. Iv'e tried holding the stylus to simulate a right click but that does not work. Any suggestions? I also tried to go through my desktop folders and There were no icons in the desktop folders

Icons have a "lnk" extension. look for the file, and delete it. It's most likely in the windows directory.

I use the program Advance Explorer to deal with anything related to the PPC file system. Check in \Windows\startup..., \Windows\Start Menu..., \Windows\Shortcut... for link file or shortcut.
