Serial Connector Replacement
Hi All,
I have an X3i, damaged my serial connector (bent a couple of pins and pushed a coouple in). I am out of warranty. I have not disassembled to attempt repair....

Dell tech support says I need "base unit" part # M3838. I called spare parts who says I cannot purchase part directly I need to send unil in for install...please contact tech support.

Anyone know where I can purchase this base unit. or any success with pin straightening
