How to transfer large files?

Hello,

I got my AXIM X30 recently. I installed activesync and have a 1gb SD card. I can transfer small files to the SD card fine... mp3s and such, but I can't seem to transfer larger video files. It starts up, but never finishes. Any ideas? Thanks

You can either use the "explore" feature in ActiveSync, this will take some time. Or a better option is a card reader and "drag and drop" the files to it. This will be much faster. You can get a card reader for pretty cheap, and it is well worth it if you plan on transfering large files.

I am not sure what process you are using when you say "It starts up, but never finishes", sorry I could not help more there.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been thinking about getting a USB2 reader.

It starts.... the blue bars indicating transferring starts moving. Gets maybe 1/10 of the way and stops moving. It stays stuck there for a while and then poof, it vanishes. Check my SD card, the name of the file is there... (kinda butchered "~blahblah.~vi"), but the amount transferred is less than 1MB.

ASync is well known for not liking large file trannsfers.

Get a reader (USB2 if your PC Supports it)........you will be amazed at the speed difference, even for small files......... .
.

...and you will be an extremely happy cayley cat.
