My X3i stopped recognizing any SD cards. All the cards work in another machine. It froze today and I did a soft reboot. When it came up it no longer saw my SD cards. Did a ROM restore to A01 and then back to A02 and still nothing. Any ideas?

seems like the sd slot is fried or maybe a contact broke

OK I'm game............why would the slot fry? I removed nothing from the machine. It happened while just lying there on the table. Very puzzling.

Did you take the card out and soft reset then put the card back in ? What type of data is on the card? Maybe some incompatibility issue.

Soft reset, hard reset, restored original A01 ROM, upgraded to A02 ROM. Did the self-diagnostic finger contortion excercise and still nothing. We have 5 SD cards from three different companies that all work in the X30 High, but none work in the X3i. Before this happened everything worked in both machines. Completely baffled here.
