I keep seeing post about ROM updates. How do I know that I have the latest update and where do I get it? I have an Axim X3i with ROM A01. Also my wireless seems deaf. It will connect great but the range is limited to about 30 feet. Any ideas?

I have an X3i and the latest ROM is A02. I found that my wireless connected faster after applying the updates.

You can get the update from the Support section on Dell's website. Before you run the update be sure to do a full backup in case things do not go as planned. Also, make sure you follow the instructions for the install.

I have a Dell X3i with WiFi & Bluetooth, Pocket Pc2003 italian.

My ROM version is A00. It's very old ? I have search for upgrade in the Dell Website, but I have found few update and for my configuration.

Hallo!

I have the same problem.
My handheld is a Dell Axim X3 with WiFi & Bluetooth and German Pocket Pc2003.

The only upgrade, which I found, is R80978.EXE (Dell Axim X3 System Update Utility for Windows Mobile 2003, v.06290400GE, A01).

But the description of this upgrade says: “This ROM release SHOULD NOT be used with X3i combination integrated 802.11b Wireless LAN and Bluetooth configuration”.

Where can I find an update for my handheld?
