SD cards only on AC power
I have been trying to find an answer for this issue for a month now. I am out of warranty and puzzled.

My SD Cards (several brands) can be recognized by the x3i if it is running on AC power. However, when I pull it out of the cradle...I can't access them at all. This leads me to believe it's something to do with the battery power. If I run a diagnostic test in both cases (on AC power and then on battery power), the only difference I can tell is one is running at 4.2V and the other 4.1V. Not a big difference...but enough to make it not run? I would like to buy a new battery and see if this is the problem but then do I really want to buy another accessory to a broken axim?

I have searched other threads but haven't found a solution. Other users have had the SD slot quit working all together. But that isn't the case here. Any thoughts?
