Oh, crap, I think I broke my screen!
I had it in my back pocket of my jeans and somehow forgot about it for a second. A sat down on this stool and well, you guess it right, I SAT ON MY AXIM!

I immediately got up and took it out and what do ya know, the screen was all messed up. Tried to down a soft reset and still got the same results. I turned off the PDA and I can see that there's like an "ink" line on where it made contact with the edge of the stool. I took a picture of the damage.

My warranty is over so...does anyone know if this could be fix and how much it would cost?

ouch. sorry to hear that.

you can replace the screen or something else(forgot what it was) as for the price. i dont know but if you searched for "pda screen replacement" you could get some results.

if you feel up to it, you can buy a new screen for $50-80 and atemept to replace it yourself(voids ALL warrentees) or have the company providing the screen to change it for you.

*x3i!

I found some websites. They're like 150 dollars. See, the thing is, I bought this x3i from my friend for 125!

Ah, what a bummer!

if you dont want to buy a screen maybe.....

sell your broken pda and get a new one. that would be a good excuse to upgrade.

Just found a website that will replace the screen for me for $150 and they're located in central Texas and I live in Houston, so that's a reliever.

Should I fix it or just buy an upgrade? What can I get for 200 dollars?

Is it both the LCD and Touchscreen?

How much shipping is it to 77049?

Edit: Are we talking about US $50 or UK £50?

Yes, they work on x5s but I'm not sure if they fix CF slots.

ya i did the sme thing to my dell axim, first time the creen broke itself because it wasnt even in my pocket it was sitting at home on my desk and when i turned it on, it displayed test patterns, probably some connector was disconnected, the second time i was working on a word document, and my little brother decided to push me for no apperant reason not knowing that the pda was in mi hands. The screen landed on the concrete bounced twice and ended up on the street, when i picked it up, it looked kind of like yours except a million of those all over the screen. I just sent it back to dell and they sent me back a refurbished one for about $100~ $150

Just got my x30 624mhz today.

It still is on warranty (June 6, 2006!). I basically bought a almost new x30 for 200 dollars w/ a Rhinoskin case. Awesome!
