I just had my Axim X3 sync-port repaired/replaced and now I am unable to connect any accesories to it (specifically Tom-Tom GPS receiver).

The old port was just bare pins, whilst the new one appears to have the pins attached to a solid base (much more robust I guess, but not much use if I cant attach anyh of my exisiting stuff to it !).

Any ideas what model Axim the connector may be from ?

Did you do it yourself or have it sent out? If it was the former, you should be contacting the person/company from which you got the part. If you sent it out, contact the company who fixed it for you.

Does it at least fit in the cradle?

It fit's the cradle, but we cant get the Tom-Tom GPS receiver to fit.

Had it done by Expansys in the UK, but they are now scratching their head ! All I really need to know is what the sync-port is from ('cos it aint off an X3!)

It's too wide. The pins, instead of being bare, appear to be mounted on a solid base.

It's actually a better design, as you cant snap the pins off. But it's not much use if I can't connect any accessories 'cos I dont know what model the sync-port is from
