Major ActiveSync Problems...help?

Hi Everyone,
I am about to lose my mind. I have the 3xi
I've had problems over the past couple months with ActiveSync and here is where I am:
1. I rec'd my new PC from IT and did a fresh install of ActiveSync 3.8 from Microsoft.
2. Upon trying to get connected it would hang and hang....sometimes it would say I was connected and hang..other times it would say not connected.
3. I did a hard reboot [stupid, now I lost everything] and even un-installed Active Sync and reinstalled it.

Now, it says it's connected but it just hangs....and won't establish a partnership or anything.
If someone could provide some help I would appreciate it. I am truely lost w/o my PDA being synched up.

Well I would have to say yes...I work behind a firewall and as a company we run McAfee...it used to work..I'm not sure what changed. I do know that in the past couple months I did have to install SP2. Any ideas for a fix?

make sure the firewall is configued to allow active sync to pass through. since you installed a newer version you might have to reset the firewall up to let Active sync pass through and work properly.
