X3i freeze every time I access the Internal Storage
Hello!

I have a strange Problem now, couple of days ago, I tried out my new BT GPS, and my Axim freeze.
So I press Reset and wait until it starts. But it hangs on the DELL-Logo. So I do a hard reset. It starts up, but if i tried to restore my Backup it hangs on the DELL-Logo again.
So I do a Hard Reset again and begin to search for the problem. I seek out, that if I access the internal storage with the file explorer, the explorer hangs and the whole pocketpc is verry slow now. A reset is the only solve. If I access the internal storage with something else, the problem repeats.

I tried to delete all the files on the internal storage with ActiveSync (in the Windows Explorer) it takes a long, but it did it, I thought. But now, with a Tool (MemMaid) I found out that there is stil an Folder. If I try to delete it with MemMaid, it hangs.

Is there a way to format the internal storage? Or have anyone other idea? Pocket Mechanic and SK-Tools don't work on internal storage.

Thankls a lot!

I found Resco File Explorer 2005 5.21 witch is the one and only, who is able to format the internal storage, but if I do this, it says "Card cannot be formated. Please check for the write-protect!"

Any Idea why? Or where can I remove the Write-Protect?

did you try uninstalling with "remove programs"? if that didn't work then do a hard reset and BEFORE you restore, manually delete all the files in BIS with activesync or your PPC explorer (one by one). Maybe some of the files in your BIS are in use and thats why you can't delete them.

I can't delete the files in the PDA, because it hangs every time I access them with the File Explorer. With Resco File Explorer it is possible to access them and rename the folder, but not to delete it. The Files inside this folder I can't rename or delete. There is just one bad folder with some files in it. If I try to delete the Folder, nothing happends, if I try to delete the files I get the message: "Can't delete the file, because it allready exist!" Stupid message...
At the PC in ActiveSync, I see this bad folder, but no files within. If I try to delete the folder I get the same stupid message as above.
I allready tried to remove the main battery over night and let the backup-battery get empty to reset the internal storage, but this don't help, the bad folder is still there...
Maybe an bad entry in the FAT?
