Worried Storage memory disappeared

Howdy.

My built-in storage on my x30 mid has disappeared. I was working on it and when I came back to it a minute later it was gone. I have done a soft reset and it is still gone. However I am hesitant to do a hard reset and have not trid that yet. My built in storage is 30megs. And the axim will read my sd card. Any thoughts?

try multiple soft resets. If that does not work, perform an aborted hard reset .... just cancel the operation. Works 99% of the time.

This is a common issue.

AH HA! fixed. I did multiple resets- Nothing happened. I then did a hard reset and then canceled it. I now have my built in memory back.

Thanks.

Glad to have helped! :approve: I learned that trick from these boards - have had to use it a couple of times.

It just happened to my x3i less than an hour ago

I detected that many of my favorite programs had disappeared after I had made some BT upgrades from Dell.
They didn't work as expected so I did an uninstall - and the BIS was gone

Did a search and found this thread and did the aborted hard reset - and it worked :approve:

Thanks guys !!!!

I just had to do this trick again as well. Installed some new software to BIS, performed a soft reset to clear out memory, and darn if BIS wasn't gone. Aborted hard reset and back in business.

Thank goodness for Aximsite boards :approve:

this happens to me alot too, usually after I install something to the BIS. I usually do multiple soft resets, but next time I'll try the aborted hard reset.
