Axim Freezes every 20-30 minutes!
My axim freezes like every 20-30 minutes. When it freezes, a soft reset won't solve anything. The axim just freezes when the blue Dell screen comes on. Only a hard reset will get the unit functioning again... and only for another short period of time.
I've updated the software, but it didn't solve anything. I've taken all my installed programs off, and it hasn't helped.
I spoke with Dell customer support... but they were of no help. Basically, i'd always been told Dell support was unhelpful, now they proved it. No suggestions at all, they just said, well you have a memory problem. Sorry we can't do anything. Unfortunately my Axim is about 6 mos out of warranty so now they won't do anything... they pretended to be helpful and had me call the out of warranty exchange number... where they told me they'd exchange it. I thought "GREAT, maybe Dell will come through". Then they told me it'd cost me 230 bucks.
I don't think I want to dump another 230 bucks into a refurbished X30. As a last resort, I thought I'd check here and see if anyone could help... anyone have any ideas?
Historically I've had good experiences with Dell... but this one is a little frustrating. I don't know if thing is dead (in which case I expected a better product from Dell), or if it might be able to be repaired etc.
