Cannot erase shortcut in Built-in storage

Ok. Here goes: I was transfering a file to my ppc with activesync's file conversion dialog, and activesync gives me some error. So I go to my ppc (it's in the built-in storage area) and try to delete it, but it says file cannot be found. I try file shredder, but it quits every time. I unplugged the main and backup batteries, but still it will not go away! Did it write to the rom or something? How can i delete it ?? Thanks in advance.

Do a soft reset and then try to delete the file

Here's what I ended up doing:

I took the .img file from the update and added 1,000,000 copies of 00s to the end of the file. It made the OS run painstakingly slow, but fixed the problem. Re-Flashed to the original .img, and everything's great!
