AXIM X30 won't turn on
My x30 has worked very well now for almost 2 years. I behaved normally yesterday morning before i shut it off. Then in the afternoon, i tried to turn it back on and nothing. I have tried...

1. Holding the power button down to make sure the screen isn't just dimmed.
2. Pushing every button on the machine.
3. Pushing the reset button on the back.
4. Taking the battery out, putting it back in, charging it fully, then taking the batterey back out-in and charging it again.

Still nothing.

When I charge it, the orange light does come on and then turns green when it is done, but that is the only sign of life.

I have NOT installed any new programs or drivers on this thing for a couple of weeks.

Any help? Thanks.

Did you try a hard reset? -Pushing in the reset and power button at the same time?

Try leaving the battery out all night to force a hard reset.

Does it ever get to the dell blue screen?

Hard reset?
I have tried holding down the power and reset button simultaneously. Nothing. I cannot get to a blue screen...I cannot see anything on the screen...ever. When I leave the battery out, should i have it plugged in? or unplugged?

Unplug it and leave the battery out all night long. Then in the morn put it back in and see if the axim will turn on. Try hard reseting it. But make sure the batt has some juice in it, and its not a bad battery.

Hi,
I had the same problem with my x30, i.e. it appeared dead. I was on holiday when it happened - 21st August 2006. Having just got back I have tried the hard reset as suggested by Spunker88 and it worked!! So thanks for that. It is a bit strange that mattej1 had the same problem on the same day though.

Try to plug the power without the battery, and do a hard-reset.

It happen to me before, and that solved the problem.

I get a white screen after a soft-reset, and end up doing a hard-reset. I'm convinced one of my programs is defective ............... but, is there a good written procedure for what to do after a hard-reset for my X30? I have to rename the user every time. (I know I'm doing something wrong)
