I purchased an aftermarket battery shortly after buying my X30 just to have a spare. After less than a year of use my extended (aftermarket) battery would do the same thing you describe here.
In my case the battery was just losing it's overall capacity when a real load was applied to it (such as a real application running). Although my X30 meter stated 60 or so percent battery capacity, I would receive the 'Turn off your device' message just as you have after only a few moments of actual use.
It's likely the battery in question has lost it's ability to achieve a complete charge and last throughout a normal discharge cycle.
