Stylus tip stuck in compartment
Ok I know where is the dunz cap... My stylus tip broke and I super glued it and places some shrink tube on it. Everything worked great until one day I pulled out the stylus without the tip/tube which is now stuck in the little compartment. Any ideas on opening the side of the X30? Have not noticed and easy snap on/off cover where the stylus is stored and did not want to force anything. Any ideas for getting the tip/shrink tube out of there?

You actually have to open up the back of your axim. It's not really that big of a deal. Just 4 small screws underneath the 4 rubber feet on the back. Once you get those out (and the battery) it takes a little finness to actually pop the back off. But it will come off. Once you get that off you should be able to see inside there enough to get it out. Just be careful where you stick things and don't mess with anything in there too much and it'll be fine.

Edit:
Dangit, I forgot to add my joke...

Maybe try a broken dental probe, a handle with a L-shaped sharp end to maybe hook the heat shrink?

If you were to take a big paperclip and straighten it out and then kink over the very end you might be able to grab it as drowe says.

X30s do come apart fairly easily, And when apart the stylus bay is wide open.

Another (serious) suggestion is to use a sharp drill bit slightly smaller than the tip; with a VERY light tap of the bit into the tip and you should be able to twist the bit and pull out the part. I have actually used this technique to extract broken RCA center conductors out of equipment that cannot be opened (unless the center hole is not guarded (ha ha).

Hope you have fun exploring your options -- its too late to get upset with yourself.
