Windows Media Player 11 won't detect storage card

I know this isn't this is the correct forum... but I can find the right one! Apologies!!

My Pocket PC had a fard reset and now WMP 11 can't see the internal memory or SD card in the sync tab. All was working fine before.

It only lists the PPC in the sync tab now.

Is there a registry setting I can tamper with?

I can't reinstall WMP 11 due to other users on the PC.

Thanks in advance

Melissa (who desperately wants to update the media on her PPC)

You can use card export, which turns your device into a usb mass storage device.

Or you can get a card reader. Either of these will work about the same.

Then you will be able to transfer music easier.

This worked for me :)

Okay, I got it to work now. Back up your device and files first because it is a little complicated, but here we go.

Step One
-In the main device directory delete the file WMPInfo.xml
-Delete the \Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\ directory and all of the files in it including the WMDRM folder.
-Delete the \Music folder

Step Two
-Go to your storage card main directory and delete the file WMPInfo.xml
-Delete the folder \CF Card\MSMETADATA
-Delete the folder \CF Card\WMDRM
-Delete the folder \CF Card\Music

Step Three
-Repeat step two for any other storage cards.

Step Four
-Refresh devices in WMP and the storages card should show up in the left tab and in the sync window you can click “Next Device”

Thanks for everyone’s input to keep me motivated to try to fix this problem!
