I'm running Windows Vista and everything is working fine as far as sync'ing to my X30 but I need to do a software update and it fails. Basically the error is "USB driver problem found! Please reset your device and run this utility again" but it fails everytime. Everything else seems to work fine, not sure why the software update doesn't. Anyone experience this or have any advice?

I don't think the USB Driver to update the axim is compatible in vista, I can do the backup that it suggests from the PDA to my Vista notebook but as soon as it tries to update the bios\flash I get that error.

Well, keep in mind that the WMDC for PDA's is still a beta. My suggestion is to use a friend's computer, or find another machine to install XP on and use that until WMDC is stable.

I just though of another idea. It might work ok, it might not. Use Vista as your host OS and install MS Virtual PC (or VMWare if it works on Vista). Then install and your old copy of XP into Virual PC. It should work but I would try the other options in my previous post first.
