SD card cannot be removed!

What can be done when my SD card cannot be removed? I am using an
A-DATA 4GB 150X Turbo SD card, when I tried loading a movie onto it, it was painfully slow. I wanted to insert the card to my laptop since it copies SD pretty fast . . . but I've discovered I cannot remove the SD card. HELP! I usually feel it click when I push it in, but it will not budge at all. This is the first time I tried removing this card! Any advice/suggestions would be most welcome!

Thank you.

However, now the card does not show up when inserted. My other cards brings up the "Removable Disk" window, but when inserting this one, it does nothing!!! Any advice/suggestion?

Thanks.

EstherN.

Have you got an alternative card reader that you can test the card on?

Have you thoroughly examined the card for physical damage, like a slightly bent or twisted (or even dirty or corroded) connector or perhaps a defective read/write slider? It just sounds like something has to be physically messed up for it to jam like it did and now not be readable.
