Axim X30 just died
My axim worked fine on Friday and then when I looked at it Friday evening, it wouldn't turn on. Nothing. Nada. I had not noticed any low battery warnings and kept it in the cradle almost the entire work day.

Help!

Welcome to the site!

Have you tried removing the main battery for a few hours, then trying again (after a recharge)?

Thanks---and update
Thank you very much for your help. I haven't tried that yet. Here's some additional information that I just uncovered. The axim has been in the cradle all day, in hopes that some sort of battery charge would occur (and indeed, the light at the top went from orange to green). And I can finally push the button and at least get an error note.

Here is what it said : A memory error has been detected. Press [icon that looks like two vertical rectangles connected together with lines in them] To correct the error. If the system does not boot, press power + reset to clear all data in the moemor and reboot the system.

Does that mean my regular battery and my internal battery are bad? Not sure how to interpret. As you can tell, I'm not technically adept, so any advice is surely welcome.

if you have a hard reset and the battery dies before it has a chance to write a fresh copy of the rom to ram, it will give you this message. There's a good chance that a hard reset with a fresh charge (internal batt and main batt), the error will be cleared and you'll be good to go.
