Worried Screen Color Flicker

Im having a problem with my screen on my X30? (or some component thereof) My screen flickers occasionaly. Its very speratic and does it maybe 20% of the time. Im not sure what is happening but it flashes back and forth between what looks like a redish brown color and the normal color. It seems to me that perhaps all the blue pixels on the screen are cutting in and out. When this happens it only has the red and yellow to display everything creating a reddish hue that flashes in and out. I hope this makes sense and I wanted to get some insight from the experts (you) to what is happening and perhaps how I can fix it. Everything else in the unit works fine

Thanks

Matt

all I would know to do is pop it open (the back) and make sure the ribbon cable was properly seated. On the right side (back open, facing you), the wide cable is the LCD. Thin being touchscreen input. I would reseat the wide one.

I've seen an overheating/swelling battery do some bizarre stuff to an ipaq. it was putting pressure on the LCD from the other side. And heating up the surrounding chips. Might check that.

Thanks Ill check it out. I forgot to mention that It did have some water drip on it when it first started doing it. I put it into a sealed container with a big salt pack for a few days to suck all the moisture out of it. Now this flicker. But you may be right about the over heating issue because it tends to only do it when the screen has been on for a few mins. thanks again for the help.
