I just bought an axim x30 on ebay. unfortunately they didn´t send me a usb data cable and dell doesn´t support this product anymore.
I had an x5 before, and this one is way better, but there are a few things that I don´t really like about it.
1. it´s really difficult to get the main battery out. you need 3 hands at least.
2. where the heck is the backup battery and how do you change it? its not in the users guide either.
And this was also the first of my questions too.
And some others:
- why does the bt turn on if i press the wifi button on the right side? where can I change the settings?
- how to sync with the bt through activesync?
- how can I change the language of the os? it's in spanish now, which is ok, but i'd prefer english. is an upgrade enough or do I have to do sg more serious?

The backup battery is not user replaceable on the X30 (the X5 was unusual amongst PPCs in the regard but, unlike the X5, the BUB is rechargeable on the X30). Some members here have replaced them but it requires taking apart the case which, of course, can lead to all kinds of negative outcomes.

I think the X30 is similar to the X50/X51 with regard to the wireless switch. It turns on whatever the last wireless adapter(s) that was last in use (BT, WiFi, or both). If you turn off BT through the software but leave WiFi active, the hardware button will just turn on WiFi the next time.

The lanquage change requires using the bootloader method.

If you want to turn on Wifi only when pressing the 'wireless' hardware button, see (http://www.aximsite.com/boards/x30-x...eperately.html) for more info and use Wifipower, which is listed at the end of the linked page.

You need to post this in the Classified section.One word of advice,I don't think you will never get $300 for your X30.People are selling the latest and greatest X51V for around that price.I paid $260 for my X30H new.Post in Classified and list the model # and any other information you have including accessories you may have.You can also check Ebay for the average current selling prices of the X30.Hope this helps you sell your X30.
