Hi All, i have a Pocket PC with the Blue Screen of Death. Ive been looking for a way to fix it. ive seen alot of people recommend updating the rom. I would like to give that i try but cannot find a good tutorial or even any good forum post on it. can someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

You mean like this screen?


Have you tried a hard reset. Hold the power button and reset button at the same time to bring up the hard reset menu and select the option to clear all data in the memory. It should go to the screen above for a while and then it should go back to factory settings.

yep looks just like that, i have tried hard reset, letting the thing drain completely, i think i have a screwed up rom, but i am not sure...

Were you doing anything that would screw up the rom?
Performing an update or os update?

If u were just using it regularly i doubt the rom would just go bad for no reason.

ok, to do a rom update, your gonna be cleaning out your axim, unless you backup db info. so consider finding all the software you are gonna need to reinstall

then just run the three EXE files on the PC while the axim is docked, it will respond to it.

o really? so i dont have to do the SD method, i was really worried about that.

ok i tried that but it kept telling me that my axim is not synced i think i might have to do it with the SD card? any one got a good tuturial for that? its an axim x3.
