Hmm File Recovery, Axim wigged out

Gutan tag,
I had left my X30i in the car the other day when I went in to work in the morning. It got cold, 30 - 40 degrees, and I brought it in to my desk at lunch, attempted to boot it and it gave me an error message relating to memory, and wouldn't shut off. In hindsite I probably shouldn't have removed the battery but it seemed the only way to get it to shut off, and I wasn't going to be able to get it home to the charger for several hours.
It restarted as soon as the battery was reinserted so I removed it again, for 3 minutes, when I put it back in the machine had hard rebooted.
Since the incident I have not reinstalled anything, or used it at all. I have been in the middle of a move and didn't have a backup made at the time. If I had saved my files in the ROM would they be recoverable with Resco explorer, and is there any way if they were in the RAM that they would be recoverable.
Probably looking for a miracle here, but any help is most greatly appreciated. Thanks!
James

Same thing just happened to me, same X30i, I left it on a desk in hospital for 5 minutes (just moved to DC and have no backup of 6 months of contacts, notes etc) and some idiot tried to find my name and did a hard reset... she apologised, but if there is ANY way to get data back before I touch anything else - I'd really appreciate it... I fear flash memory is not recoverable like the old HDDs any ideas?

Sorry, unless you had these files backed up, you won't be able to recover your lost files. If you sync regularly to ActiveSync, you can sync back your contacts, appointments, tasks, and other outlook related files. And you can also use ActiveSync to reinstall many of the applications you have installed to the pocket pc, but you will need to reinput the license keys for applications that require them. If you synced files between your pocket pc and computer through ActiveSync, you will also be able to sync those files back to your pocket pc.

Before you sync again, delete your existing AS partnership. If you are prompted if you wish to delete the My Documents folder, say no. Then you can set up a new partnership and sync all this data back to your pocket pc.
