File recovery?

Using an Axim X30, had a power loss and received prompt stating "memory loss, press "contacts""
Re-boot seems to have been hard reset.
Are there any options to recover a file with a known name and file extension which is not shown in the associated folder?
All folders exist, though the application is gone pending a backup restoration.
All ideas welcome!

If I have understood your comments correctly and you have a backup on your pc, it should restore your lost file.

If you don't have a backup, I fear that your file is lost.

Following the hard boot I find that there are folders (which though empty), reflect the pre-reboot environment.

Are there any utilities that can be used to explore the RAM with AciveSync for lost files?

Not the first time, but I'll post a warning to all:

back your data to a flash drive even when it seems safe or sub-critical!
