Question Clock is slow, loses 5 mins/day

Hi all,
My Axim X30's clock is slow... It loses up to five minutes per day. (Consequently I must sync frequently) It's a real bummer when I try to use it as an alarm clock.
Has anyone experienced this?
Could it be the batteries? Or the Backup battery?

Thanks,
Ari

Nothing to do with the batteries.

The clock speed is governed by the crystal frequency so I am afraid that there is nothing that you can do about it (except change the crystal which is hardly practical)

5 minutes a day is a lot though.

But this is a recent problem. I'm not sure how a crystal could have deteriorated without significant trauma or a corrosive environment (to crystal?!).
I"ve ordered a replacement BUB. I'll test it after replacement with a couple of different main batteries and see if I can't track down the problem.
