Daylight Savings Time Problem

Obviously we just moved into daylight savings time here in the States. My X30 won't adjust. I've tried doing it manually, but every time I sync it to my computer, it goes back to "regular" time. I am using Outlook for everything, if that matters (not Outlook Express or some other non-microsoft brand). Can anybody suggest a fix for this. I have gone to Microsoft and tried downloading their update, but that did absolutely nothing, good or bad.

Did you switch to a different time zone and switch back after applying the update? You need to do that first.

Aximsitex3icon Dell Axim X30 syncing time incorrectly

Hi,

I have having the same problem i think.

Starting out;
My computer clock is correct.
My bios clock is correct.
My X30's clock is correct.

When I sync the Dell Axim X30, it puts my clock back 1 hour even if I am set to the correct time zone in both the X30 and computer.

The big problem, it that it messes up all my outlook appointments.

I have XP Media Center, Outlook 2007, and Activesync 4.5

Thank you Dell or Microsoft for providing a fix... what are the chances?

I have a feeling that once we get back to the old daylight saving time switch date, it will fix itself. Didn't the dates change last year?

Yes, they did change. Just wait out the 3 days now.

On a whim, did you update your computer to reflect Daylight Savings? If you are running XP and prior, you need to. I believe Vista has that built in already.

Make sure time is set to Change automatically, and you didn't simply change the clock one hour earlier.

I keyed this Windows Mobile: Smartphone and PDA Software into my internet browser on X30 and followed the directions. Everything seems to be working fine now.

Sorry, this is not the correct link due to me copying and pasting the link. Just key in Windows Mobile: Smartphone and PDA Software in the internet browser on the X30 and follow the directions.

So you're saying that the download will take effect three days after I loaded it?

No, but after three days (this sunday), it will be when the DST is normally scheduled to end anyway (in previous years), so it should change then, with or without the patch.

My Blackberry keeps reverting to the wrong time too with all the patches and everything. It is just laziness from the developers to get this proper or the company to invest time (time=$$$) to get this done once and for all.

I did try switching time zones and back again. Didn't help. I tried all the downloads. Still didn't help. Thanks for the suggestions so far. I'll let you know if it works after Sunday.

I sync my x50V and my clock has not changed to DST. I sync at work where they use Windows 2000. There seems to be no patch available for this version of Windows.

My Axim X51v - with the DST patch installed - changed correctly on March 9 to DST but yesterday it decided to change back to STD time? Which totally screws everything up.

My Calendar appointments are all incorrect.

My Alarm Clock is in STD time so it is incorrect also!

I tried re-installing the DST patch but that hasn't resolved anything either.
