X30 cpu slow down & can't find SD

Hello,
I just purchased a used X30 624mhz from eBay and updated the A03 to A05. Since the update the unit is not behaving well. Sometimes it is fine, then when I try to open a program it just takes forever to do it, or when I tap the screen with the stylus it takes forever (2-3 minutes) to make the selection. It is worse when I try to connect the Wifi. The multiple network detected window takes forever to load and basically hangs. Still can't connect to the Wifi, already turned off the power management. Mainly can't get anywhere because it takes a long time for me to select anything (5 minutes or more).

With the original A03, I was able to find the SD storage but after the A05 update, I can't find it anymore. It seems to find it when I did the ROM Flash (boot from SD) to A05, then to A03 then back to A05. Tried 2 different SD cards that still work (readable by pc and axim X50). Tried Soft reset and hard reset but still doesn't work. Am I missing some drivers or something? I am using ActiveSync 6.something for Vista.

OS Version: 4.21.1008 (Build 14260.2.0.0)
Storage Card: Not In Use

ROM Version A05(10070400EN)

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

EDIT: Yeah I meant WMDC 6 for Vista. Should I go back to XP for ActiveSync?

I can't tell you much about the X30, but I do remember researching it for a colleague some time back and decided that upgrading the rom wasn't worth the trouble as it seemed to create problems.

Apart from that, there is no 6. something Active Sync version for Vista.
Vista uses WMDC Windows Mobile Device Center.

If you need to do the update again via USB, you will need an XP machine as WMDC can't do it.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I tried synchronizing using ActiveSync 4.5 with XP but for some reason it pops an error right after the bar starts moving. No anti-virus on that comp, I just don't think they are communicating. Maybe I need to get a usb cable for direct sync without cradle.

I can see my device ok with WMDC but I don't think it has the drivers for Axim X30 since it is still showing as unidentified device. (therefore I can't use SD card?)

Update: Tried ROM A06 using USB. Still no luck with the SD Slot. I also opened the back case and make sure everything is clean and clear with the pins. Still showing Not Installed under Storage Card.

Need help please!

I've googled about the SD Problem and seems a few had same problem and had no response on the fix.
