When I tried to install a game last night, near the end of the installation it said there was not sufficient space left on the SD Card. So I stopped the installation, only to then notice my SD Card was complataly empty. All the other games I had on the card which were installed were gone. After a soft reset, the Axim then asked if I wanted to reformat my card. The weird thing was all of the games still shown up in the add/remove programs list.

In the end, I uninstalled them, and reinstalled them, all is fine now.

Anyone been confronted with this?

I don't know why your SD card was empty after you attempted to install your game, but I can tell you why the applications still showed up in the add/remove programs list.

When you install an application to the pocket pc, an .unload file is placed in the \windows folder, so if you installed an application called "bugs," you would find a "bugs.unload" file in the windows folder. Unless this file is deleted the application will show up in the add/remove programs list. This file is deleted if you remove a program, but would not have been deleted if the storage card is wiped.

Thanks a bunch, I could not figure out why all the games were lost on the card... even the Launcher App on my today screen - the shortcuts for these games shown a blank icon as well. Clicking on them did nothing.

I reformatted the card, and reinstalled the games anyways.
