X30 Internal Battery

I have two Dell Axims X30. They have worked WONDERFUL for years.
I understand how they charge & have read the manual.
However, the internal battery seems to be failing or not charging correctly.
Error Message: “Backup Battery Very Low.
To prevent possible data loss, replace or recharge your battery according to the owner’s manual.”

I charge the unit, with Axim powered off & the USB cable unplugged.

Question: Is there a way to replace the internal Axim backup battery in the field?
(Like on a computer motherboard, you can replace the CR2032 cmos battery.)

Take a look at this thread about replacing the backup battery:

X3 backup battery revealed...

(Note the battery should be the same for the X3 and X30 series.)
