How To Cause 'Safe Boot'?

Running a Dell Axim 30, and need to restore in 'safe boot' mode. Otherwise, the backup pgm 'sunnysoft' fails o/a 75% with 'not enough memory'.
How can 'safe boot' be initiated, I was hoping with a combination of buttons, I don't know what the trigger is?
Thanks, DrG.

there is no safe boot like a pc. Also if the game is going into the main memory its probably using most or all of it up. Most or all of the game should go on a cf or sd card. That would eliminate the not enough memory error. Or its possible the filepath to the sd card is incorrect

If you want to do a soft reset (kind of like a reboot), hold down the power button while poking into the reset hole at the back of the device. Note that this will erase any unsaved data.
