wireless connection problem

Ok here is the deal I own two axim's one x30 and one x3i the x3i connects to the WEP encrypted network just fine however i decided to upgrade and buy an axim x30 but it only connects to non encrypted networks whats the deal can someone help me

Julie I think you will find that he means he Upgraded to an X30, nothing on his network has changed.

I believe the X30 should be able to connect to WEP, check that you have entered the passcode correctly.

well see the thing is that I did enter it correctly and no Julie I did not upgrade my network someone please me

Did you look at the WiFi Guide, in particular, the troubleshooting part of the WM03SE section?

yes i did it doesn't help me because i don't get any errors and I known what to do that would normally make it connect its just that it won't

Well, the most common failure to connect problem is having the device set to connect to 'The Internet' when most people have better success with the 'Work' setting. This is described in the Guide.

Also, when you say you are sure you've entered the WEP key correctly, you are using the hexadecimal format (26 characters for 128-bit encryption, 10 characters for 64-bit) and not a password?
