Not sure why Scandisk is so hated, just like all the negative posts about Dell I have read.

Using a scandisk 256 in my X3i. No probs. Used scandisk numerous times in other items, no probs.

Even when they don't lose your files (all three of mine did) they still benchmark way slower than reputable brands.

It's a historical thing - sandisk SD cards had huge problems in a range of PDAs about 12 months ago, especially the Axim X5 - hence the reason that they're generally not recommended around here, even though with the X3i they seem to be as good as any other - and their newer cards are apparently much better anyway.

Never had a problem with my 128MB SanDisk card. In fact it was much much faster at uploading data to it then my PNY 256MB card. The PNY must have taking almost 5 minutes to upload 2MBs, while the sandisk took mere seconds. Only reason i kept PNY card is because once the data is on it, the data can be read off of it a tiny bit faster then my SanDisk.

From my experience it seems that Sandisk problems are mostly in the past, I also had several Sandisk cards fail fortunately they were all replaced free of charge under warranty, and I haven't had any problems with the replacement cards (2 CF cards 1 SD).

Also as I stated in a previous message the new Sandisk Ultra II cards benchmark faster than my Lexar (Panasonic cards) do and have proven to be very reliable.

P.S. FYI I'm a photographer and put plenty of miles on my CF cards I've also had problems with two Lexar cards (although I was able to retrieve my data in both of those cases.) I had one of those replaced under warranty. I haven't had a chance to send in the other.

Check this out. I have a Dell X30 without the wireless antenna. Could I use this card in the Dell X30?

I have a sandisk 256M SD card, made in China, used in both DC and card reader for about a year, without any problem.
I will try it on my new X30.

I am using a Scamdisk Ultra II 512 MB (seen as 483.56 MB)in my Axim x30 624MHz and I have never been able to access the last 120.2 MB - seems to think there isn't enough room. Any solutions or similar experience? I would buy a 1 GB or another high speed 512 MB since they are both under US$75 now if I thought the storage cards worked with all their memory.
