SD explication needed
Refering to this link http://sdprob.aximsite.com/theproblemlist.htm I would like to know if there SD problems still exist.
I've just ordered a new X30 and there is only one SD slot present on device? So if the problems with SD are not corrected, what can I do??
I can choose a 512 SD card sell by Dell, and I think tested to work well with AXIM, but in that case I'm attached to only
one model and only one vendor, and I don't wont that. I would like to be free to choose my material that I gona connect to my AXIM. If I look some French sites, who sell material I can find a 512 MB SD card for 115 €, and on dell site "512MB Secure Digital Memory (1x512MB) (+149,00 EUR)" but how can I be sur for the first one for 115 €??? When I phone to Dell here in Belgium, and when I begin to ask a technical things, there is no answer, or randomized answer, yes or no, without any knowledge behind the answer!!! Just interest to sell you something.I'm glad that site like this exist, so we can share our experiences ;-). So people, what to do, what kind of SD cards should I buy, is there any similar problems with CF cards??? If not then I gona cancel this device and buy X5 model.
Thanks for your comments/answers/whatever ;-)

If you look at the website, you'll see most of the problems were with the X5. From what I've heard, there have been some problems with the X3 but they have mostly been associated with a hardware problem on the X3 itself, not the sd card. Sandisk also has been replacing bad cards with 'good ones.'

That said, I know some of us were so disgusted with Sandisk's slow response to the problem that they will not get any more of our money. It's more than a little disturbing that Dell sells mostly Sandisk cards on their site. I think most people feel Lexar and Simpletech are the better brands. I've had a lot of luck with Kingston cards that I've gotten real good deals on but there has been an indication that some of their cards are manufactured by Sandisk in China and can cause problems. All the ones I have were made in Japan.

I just bought a ScanDisk 256 MB card for my X3i, and it works fine, other than it being slower than molasses going uphill . . . These cards ARE terribly slow, but I can't complain, I didn't heed the good advice on these threads . . .
