Do MMC's work with the Axim x30 as opposed to SD? From what i've encountered, its alot cheaper. Any downfalls?

i think so as MMC cards are a bit smaller than SD cards cards. Really any SD card slot can take MMC cards

.
.

IO is only relevant if the SD Device performs Input/Output Functions.

Straight Memory Cards are not SDIO Compliant because there is no Input/Output Functionality to them, only Read/Write.

An average MMC card will make your regular Sandisk cards look like a speed demon.

The reason that ericcummbe cant tell the difference is that apparently the axim X5 cant write much faster than the mmc card is able to be used at any time. However, in all likelyhood you would be able to tell signifigantly on an X30

EDIT: when handhelds.org ill get the details on that, its currently doing badly and i cant get some of my info on the axim so i cant back that up right now, sorry

DON'T get the MMC. It's makes the slower SD cards (Scamdisk) look fast.
